The Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum is not only the nation's designated museum on the subject of design but also the only museum in the country that focuses solely on the world of design. Within the walls of Cooper-Hewitt, visitors can explore the amazing collection of more than 250,000 artifacts, including objects from the Han Dynasty, the world of industrial design and much more. The museum is located in the Museum Mile area of Manhattan, west of Mt. Sinai Hospital and next to Central Park.
Open Mon. - Thurs. 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Fri. 10:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.; Sat. 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.; Sun. noon - 6:00 p.m.
Adults $15; Seniors and Students (with ID) $10; Children under 12 are free.
