All I can say is that whomever posted these fake reviews must really be envious of the superb service that Flat rate delivers. They have been the only moving company I have used in NY since 2004 and I will remain a loyal customer of theirs for as long as I need moving assistance. In conclusion, take a chance on them and you'll see that there is no better company in the city. J Anning

A++++++ The company took all the necessary precautions to make my move safe and efficient. They were very diligent with all steps of the move and treated my belongings as if they were all antiques - some of which actually were. Thanks again, Larry

The movers arrived a half hour early and did not provide the materials listed on the contract. The home office was closed on the weekend, so I could not request backup. Both the sales department and the movers kept telling me that I was expected to tip the movers 15% (so much for flat rate). They damaged my wall and tried to hide it. The price was also very expensive to be receiving such poor service. Avoid at all costs.

I am the Customer Service Manager of FlatRate Moving in New York. We could not locate a Cathy that moved in September of 2008. Cathy, please feel free to call me to try to resolve your issues. I must emphasize that it is strictly against company policy to mention or ask for tips. Our sales department and movers know better than to say 15% is "expected". Tipping for a job well done is commonplace in the moving industry but certainly at the discretion of the customer. Our Dispatch Office is open on weekends and can be reached through the movers or at 718-292-7911.
